CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture” It supports the local farmer before the season starts and helps them plan for the new growing year.

Until recently, most of the flowers you saw in arrangements or grocery stores were imported from Colombia or Ecuador. That is where my Flower CSA comes into the picture. Buying local is a way to shorten the distance between farm and vase and ensures you the freshest flowers for your enjoyment.

As a local flower farm I operate on a small scale and grow a wider diversity of plants that most importers cannot offer, not to mention greater vase life from buying local. In addition to a wider diversity of flower I practice Organic gardening to protect the environment and pollinators that rely on flowers for their survival. My own flower journey began years ago when I had the dream and vision of offering beautiful quality flowers and garden plants officially. In 2022 I signed up for a flower farming and design workshop with Erin Benzakein of Floret. Although I have been growing garden plants for decades with the thought of offering them to the public, the course was the start of something beautiful if dreamed about my entire life.

In addition to learning about growing, harvesting, and arranging, I also saw how important flowers and gardening has become to many newcomers and I will hope to encourage and share with others my lifelong experience in the garden.

Being that this is my first year at offering my flower CSA, I’m hoping to spread the joy that fresh flowers bring into our lives to subscription customers, special event arrangements and small weddings. My hope is to spread sheer joy and happiness that fresh flowers bring into our lives and bring them from my farm to your home.

Hope L0R 1W0 April to October Thursdays - Sundays, or in Burlington at the Centro Farmers Market at 437 Brant St, Burlington, ON L7R 2G3 Sundays from May 1 to October 31, between 9: 00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
